Dear SpinSheet, We are based in Baltimore with our Defever 49 and we had some mold and odor problems. My wife complained all the way to Newport where we came for a wedding. The point is, we came upon an ad in your magazine by a company called Quantum Pure Aire that said they could end our bilge odors with a product called the “Salon Mate” (now called AccuAire). I had a member of my family take me from Newport to Warwick, RI where Quantum Pure Aire went over what I needed. Let me tell you, they were on the money. For the first time ever I have no odors, no mold, and no mildew. So, thank you, SpinSheet for no more boat odors. My wife is happy her clothes no longer smell like “boat.” We are in Newport until April, then back home to Baltimore. Oh, yes. If anyone calls Quantum Pure Aire, ask for Barry. He was great and knew just what I needed. But watch out, he asks lots of questions. I think he knows my boat better than I do.
